Since 2013, I have devoted my passion to the world of banknotes. I love working with them, altering their original design by removing specific elements and replacing them with new content, creating something unique and unexpected.
For me, art must be like life itself – imperfect, surprising, chaotic, and sometimes even boring. Through my work, I embrace these qualities, inviting viewers to discover the beauty and unpredictability of transformation.

Siden 2013 har jeg viet min passion til pengesedlernes verden. Jeg elsker at arbejde med dem, ændre deres originale design ved at fjerne specifikke elementer og erstatte dem med nyt indhold, hvilket skaber noget unikt og uventet.
For mig skal kunst være som selve livet – uperfekt, overraskende, kaotisk og nogle gange endda kedeligt. Gennem mit arbejde omfavner jeg disse kvaliteter og inviterer beskueren til at opdage skønheden og uforudsigeligheden ved transformation.

I've had an affinity for banknotes since I was a child - I'd rather have a 5-mark note than a 5-mark coin - there was more to look at, feel and smell.
I would have preferred to train as a bank clerk, but I'm glad I did an industrial clerk training course - the combination of commercial know-how and technical knowledge was much more interesting and varied.
The topic of "banknotes" was always there anyway - old German banknotes from the inflation period (First World War - 1923) particularly fascinate me. It's the trust that the banknotes have a value that actually doesn't exist - the idea that a 1000-mark note in 1914 represented more than a year's income, and years later was simply no longer worth anything.

Jeg har haft en forkærlighed for pengesedler, siden jeg var barn - jeg ville hellere have en 5-marksseddel end en 5-marksmønt - der var mere at se på, føle på og lugte.
Jeg ville have foretrukket at uddanne mig til bankfunktionær, men jeg er glad for, at jeg tog en uddannelse til industrifunktionær - kombinationen af kommerciel knowhow og teknisk viden var meget mere interessant og varieret.
Emnet "pengesedler" var der altid alligevel - gamle tyske pengesedler fra inflationsperioden (Første Verdenskrig - 1923) fascinerer mig især. Det er tilliden til, at pengesedlerne har en værdi, som faktisk ikke eksisterer - tanken om, at en 1000-marksseddel i 1914 repræsenterede mere end et års indkomst, og år senere simpelthen ikke længere var noget værd.

Trust, trust in yourself, trust in God, trust that everything will be fine ..... the uniform appearance of banknotes is a sign of authenticity and therefore also a valid promise of value at the same time .... I make the banknotes look different, thereby destroying trust in purchasing power (unless I am already working with worthless banknotes anyway). The destruction of an illusion.

Tillid, tillid til dig selv, tillid til Gud, tillid til at alt nok skal gå ..... pengesedlernes ensartede udseende er et tegn på ægthed og derfor også et gyldigt løfte om værdi på samme tid .... Jeg får pengesedlerne til at se forskellige ud, og ødelægger dermed tilliden til købekraften (medmindre jeg alligevel allerede arbejder med værdiløse pengesedler). Ødelæggelsen af en illusion.
